Between my personal experience as a mother, and my professional training as a Lactation Specialist with UC San Diego, I hope to offer you plenty of information to start you on your journey.
Breastfeeding Basics is a simple, yet informative course offering Lactation Education and Resources.
A few topics we may cover include, but are not limited to:
The stages of milk production
The first feeds
Identifying your breastfeeding goals
How you know it’s going well, and when to call for help
Each family will receive a goodie bag.
The class is approximately 1.5 hrs long and costs $60 (Discount for teen parents)

Introduction to Homebirth
This class provides a look at what to expect and the basic preparations involved when planning a homebirth with a midwife. Your partner or one birth support person is encouraged to accompany you.

Identifying your questions, goals, and ideas
Building a supportive birth team
Preparing yourself, your family, and your home
Postpartum: The two week lie in
It's a lot of information, but don't worry! You can take it all home with you in a packet full of evidence-based information and an extensive resource list. This class also includes a custom workbook to help you outline what you would like your birth to look like. As we explore topics in class, you may begin to build an outline for your ideal birth, no matter where you choose.
